Situations that are best addressed in-person includes:

• painful, shallow, or difficult latch 
• baby not latching or needing an observed feed for reassurance 
• concerns with milk supply (low, high, or inconsistent) 
• babies losing weight or not gaining well (including need for weighted feed to assess milk transfer) 
• nipple trauma (cracking, bleeding), engorgement, plugged ducts, or mastitis 
• suspected oral restrictions (tongue tie, lip tie, high palate) or maternal factors (e.g. previous breast surgery, inverted nipples) 
• needing a clear, step-by-step feeding plan

• full assessment of parent and baby 
• detailed feeding and health history review 
• observed breastfeed and/or bottle feed 
• latch, positioning, and milk transfer assessment (including weighted feed when indicated) 
• oral assessment and functional feeding evaluation 
• guidance on pain management and nipple healing 
• bottle feeding and pumping support if needed 
• referrals to other providers when appropriate 
• personalized feeding plan tailored to your goals 
• follow-up call or email included
